The VSGNNE, on behalf of its member institutions, maintains a central data registry on all patients receiving vascular surgery for carotid endarterectomy (CEA), lower extremity bypass (LEB), infrarenal AAA repair (OPEN and EVAR), and carotid artery stents (CAS). Data are collected at each hospital using one of the forms listed below, which are then sent to the central site for inclusion into the data registry. The data are validated periodically to insure all consecutive procedures are included in the registry and that important endpoints have been accurately reported. Twice a year standard reports are generated describing regional and center experiences. The reports show, by procedure, trends over time, volume of procedures, process characteristics, and selected in-hospital outcomes.
